My greatest reward as a therapist is supporting my clients to explore ways to make the changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future with hope. I believe that all individuals hold the key to their own happiness and possess the power to change their lives for the better. I provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment-a safe place to explore the issues preventing them from living the life they want. I have experience treating children and adults who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, panic disorders, mood disorders, relationship issues, ADHD, and phobias among other challenges. I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART). ART uses rapid eye movements to change the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain to minimize strong physical and emotional reactions. ART is federally recognized as an effective psychotherapy for PTSD, depression, stress, and personal resilience.
Of course I can't promise to be the best fit for everyone. However, if you come to see me we will make real progress or I will help you find someone else who is better suited to you.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at San Francisco State University in 2004, and my Master's degree in Social Welfare from UCLA in 2009. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. Additionally, I was a Fellow in the 2014-2015 University of Massachusetts Boston Infant-Parent Mental Health Post-Graduate Fellowship Program, which provided me with specialized training to provider dyadic psychotherapy to young children and their parents. I incorporate the latest research and theories on infant neuro-development to support attachment and improve the parent-child relationship from birth to 5 years old.
