I have years of experience treating children and adults struggling to move beyond traumatic life events. I am in constant awe of the bravery it takes to talk about these painful events -again and again- with the hope that retelling their story will, in time, bring them some relief from the pain. Many people avoid therapy all together because they fear facing these memories and not getting any better. I really don’t blame them. Over time in traditional treatment, many clients report their pain was eased and the distressing memories faded, but it is never an easy process. I couldn’t help but wonder if this was truly the best treatment therapists could offer. This is what led me to discover, research, and eventually train in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).I am so excited to offer this life-changing treatment to my clients in Southern California. I am privileged to be a part of healing on a daily basis.
Of course I can't promise to be the best fit for everyone. I can't wipe out ALL problems just like that, and some people also really do need the type of slow and steady deep work that traditional therapists provide. However, if you come to see me we will make real progress or I will help you find someone else who is better suited to you.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at San Francisco State University in 2004. I received my Master's in Social Welfare from UCLA in 2009, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. Additionally, I was a Fellow in the 2014-2015 University of Massachusetts Boston Infant-Parent Mental Health Post-Graduate Fellowship Program.
Please feel free to contact me at (818) 650-0115 for a free 10-minute phone consultation to find out if ART is right for you.
